Today begins the year of the Water Hare.
Goals that seemed far will now be quite near.
As resistance and friction wash away,
Steady your mind and take aim
At the things that you want to achieve.
More important than money or fame
Is living your days for what you believe.
When your time comes where will you be?
Who will be there and what will they see?
Will you remember the times
That you would sit and ponder
Just how bad things could become.
Or will your remember the wonder
Of sharing in the setting and rising Sun.
What would you do?
What is important enough to you?
That you would do it even knowing
You would fall flat on your face
And the wild world would see you fail.
No one wins who doesn't start the race
Nor reach warmer shore without setting sail.
Luck has been amongst us all along
Growing note by note as one learns a song.
Inside us the Sage smiles
To reward us for our purposefulness.
A journey of a thousand miles
Begins with the smallest of rabbit steps.
